    All Natural Soap Making (Ella Baker)

    See how to make soap using the cold process method that has existed for thousands of years. Each student will receive a copy of a manual that includes an ingredient list, equipment list, recipe, method for making soap, and sources for essential oil, ingredients, and equipment. You will also receive a silicone mold and will pour soap to take home. Taught by John Hanson, Owner/Maker of Longfellow Soap Company.

    Join MPS Community Education on Saturday, December 6 at Mill City Farmers Market to shop the winter market and create your own holiday charcuterie board. We'll meet in the ADM Conference Room at 9:30 AM, then walk through the market with Executive Director Ella Daniels, learning about the market’s vendors and products. Each attendee will receive a handmade charcuterie board and a smorgasbord of locally-sourced meat, cheese, spreads and other snacks. Attendees will also receive market tokens to select a custom item from the farmers market's local farm vendors and food makers. Cost of the class includes new skills and a fully-made charcuterie board with ingredients sourced from local farms and food businesses. Space is limited. Register now to secure your spot! About Mill City Farmers Market: Mill City Farmers Market is Minneapolis’ trusted source for healthy, local and sustainable groceries, combining a vibrant marketplace with nourishing community connection. However, the twins have plenty in common when it comes to the unexpected history of crime that shaped both cities long before the dawn of the prohibition era. Ride along with gangster moll Marie Conforti on a bus tour that spans both sides of the river. You’ll learn how each city created covert criminal structures that shaped the culture and economy of the “evil twins” in the first half of the twentieth century. Includes lunch.
