Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based, school-age childcare for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 5th grade during the school year (entering grades K-7 during the summer).
Teen Parent Services is dedicated to keeping teen parents on the track to graduation by providing them with parenting education and supports while providing high-quality early childhood education services to their children.

Join us for a fun afternoon covering the stories behind classic jingles and the crazy realities of commercial advertising doing voice-over and jingle writing! A rollicking immersive taught by former jingle writer Raymond Berg and voice over professional Michelle Myers. Learn how radio spots and jingles are created and why we still remember them years after they’re no longer airing!
Try your hand at writing slogans and jingles or just linger and mingle! Test your memory on some of your old favs and we’ll top off the event with a silly jingle sing-a-long!

A classically trained actress with a BFA from the University of Minnesota and further training in American Conservatory Theater’s MFA Program, Michelle’s professional voiceover career for radio and TV spans over 30 years with clients ranging from General Mills, Hardee’s, Target, Best Buy, Hiscox and Raymond James Insurance to Medtronic, 3M and Medica among others.
Michelle also enjoys doing audio books. She is most recently featured in the newly released multi-voice recording of Larry Millett’s mystery novel Strongwood.
Her theatre work includes everything from Shakespeare to live interactive in venues. (You may have hopped on one of her Celestial Tours through SW Community Ed)!
You’ve probably heard him and not even known it! Raymond is often tucked into the darkened orchestra pit at the Ordway where he’s been involved with over 35 shows serving in varying capacities as Music Director, Conductor, Arranger and Performer. But long before that his jingle music was tucked into the corners of countless radio and TV commercials in the 80’s and 90’s (think McDonald’s, Perkins, Target, Arctic Cat ).
A veteran of theaters, clubs, ballrooms and cabarets his work he is a recipient of two Ivey Awards as Best Music Director (Love, Janis Ordway and Urinetown Jungle Theater).
His musical arrangements have been published by both Music Theatre International and Rodgers and Hammerstein groups, featuring vocal charts for Forever Plaid- Plaid Tidings and the Andrew Sisters musical Sisters of Swing.
