This class offers ideas and strategies around preparing, selecting and paying for any of those post-secondary education choices. We will talk through the 3 steps of preparing for life after high school – selecting the right school, academics to consider and how to put together your finances. This class is for anyone with kids young or older that are planning to go through post-secondary education. Students will be barefoot in class and should wear loose, comfortable exercise clothes. You will have the option to purchase a gi (karate uniform) to wear to class. Find out how toads, frogs and salamanders are keeping busy this summer! Meet a live toad and salamander, then watch them eat a tasty treat. Learn how to choose a good topic and avoid common mistakes. If you are applying to 8 or 10 colleges, you may have 20 or more essays to write, with prompts like "Why this college" "Why this major" and "How will you contribute to our student body?"
